My friend Louann recently moved to Vancouver, Canada, where it can get cold, so of course I offered to make her something. When I asked her if she would like a newsies hat, she didn't know what it was, and googled it, and guess what she found? My blog and my picture of my newsies hat! She was so excited how well that worked out, she let me make her a newsies hat, and here it is. She doesn't like cables, so I left them out and made it in stockinette stitch. I used "I love this yarn" in white and size 9 needles. When I
finished it in white, it looked too plain, so I added the black stripes to punch it up a bit, and I think it turned out well. She claims she wears it all the time, what a compliment!
